PuffO₂ is an active rescue mask for fire-induced inhalation injuries. Beyond passive oxygenation, it actively treats airway damage during the pre-hospital gap. By monitoring respiratory mechanics, it triggers a two-phase protocol: Phase 1 — Clear the airway: Positive pressure stents open the edematous larynx and bronchodilators relieve lower airway spasm. Phase 2 — Stabilize: Once the obstruction subsides, it delivers high-concentration O₂ to maintain SpO₂ until medics arrive.
