Opus Studio: Accessible music-making for children
Mark Vedberg
Opus Studio is a collaborative music-making system inspired by the open, democratic interfaces of board games, where children new to the practice are supported in creating music together. Users build songs through shared physical interaction, playful exploration, and adaptable rules that guide creativity without limiting it. The system supports progression into further music-making, while its low-tech, open-source structure supports accessibility, adaptability, and longevity.
